Provision of unauthorized access to PTI founder: Former IG Prisons Shahid Saleem Baig arrested from LahoreLAHORE: Former Inspector General of Prisons, Shahid Saleem Baig, has been arrested from his official residence in Lahore, sources said. Baig held the position of IG Prisons for five years.
Baig, who served in the prison department for five years, retired before the imprisonment of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The inquiry into the operations at Adiala Jail has intensified, with several employees being scrutinized for allegedly providing unauthorized access to the PTI founder while in jail.Previously, the former Deputy Superintendent of Adiala Jail was arrested on charges of assisting former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
