The newly-formed National Economic Council approved in principle the 13th five-year National Development Plan alongside the annual economic growth targets for the financial year 2024-25 and macroeconomic framework for annual plan.
Presiding over the meeting Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the Government will ensure the best use of existing resources for the development of the country, the restoration of the economy and the prosperity of the people.
The Prime Minister also directed the National Economic Council to set up a committee to harmonize it with the modern requirements
