After acquiring worldwide recognition for her incredible advocacy for women’s education and rights, the Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousufzai is all set to steal spotlights with her ‘guest’ appearance in the second season of British Musical-comedy ‘We Are Lady Parts’ exploring the interior lives of women in great depth.
The Britcom which just comprises six new episodes will be started from May 30, on Peacock in the United States and on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. All episodes will be available on the release date, making it easy for fans to binge the show, as per the first pictures from the season posted on the Instagram handle.
The attention-grabbing season showcases creator Nida Manzoor’s experiences involving cultural collectives and artists in London, following a British punk rock band named Lady Parts consisting entirely of Muslim women. The band includes nerdy student and lead guitarist Amina Hussain , fierce front-woman and vocalist Saira , edgy drummer Ayesha , and the calm and collected bass player Bisma . Additionally, no one can forget Lucie Shorthouse’s portrayal of Mumtaz, the band’s burqa-clad, no-nonsense manager.“Making season one of We Are Lady Parts was immense for me,” admitted Nida Manzoor, who has written, created, and directed the show.
