KARACHI: Local government by-elections are underway in 16 districts of Sindh on Sunday (today).
The Election Commission of Pakistan has established a control room to monitor the election process. The control room which will remain functional till Monday will also address the grievances and complaints.
Meanwhile, a joint meeting of the Chief Minister Inspection Team and Anti-Corruption Department, chaired by Chief Minister Sindh Maqbool Baqar was held in Karachi on Saturday.Advertisement On the occasion, the Chief Minister directed the inspection team to establish a complaint portal for the redressal of the grievances of the public.
He directed the Chief Secretary to take strict action against the treasury officers, involved in the pension scam. Anti-Corruption department has been directed to increase the conviction rate and improve its performance further.
