This has caused a sharp rise in heat-related illnesses, with over 70 people being admitted to Civil and Jinnah Hospitals in the past four days.The current heatwave is severely impacting Karachi, especially the elderly and those with health issues. Civil Hospital reported that 67 people affected by the heat came to their emergency department. Dr. Nizam, the Assistant Medical Superintendent, said most patients were sent home after they felt better, but three had to stay in the hospital.
