ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Thursday reserved its judgment on the petition moved by former first lady Bushra Bibi seeking her transfer from the Bani Gala to Adiala Jail.
During the hearing, Bushra Bibi’s lawyer Usman Riaz presented arguments. He argued that there was no instruction from the authorities regarding her transfer from Adiala Jail to Bani Gala sub jail. Justice Miangul Hassan asked, “Don’t you think it was pre-arranged that Bushra Bibi should be transferred” and how many women were brought to Adiala Jail after Bushra Bibi was sent home. He asked were the 141 women who were brought in after that were less privileged. The women who were brought later should also be sent home.
