Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has issued directions to expedite the privatization process during a meeting at Prime Minister House in Islamabad.
Prime Minister Sharif also directed to expand the capabilities and enhancement of the capabilities of all organizations involved in the privatization to achieve economic recovery and provide relief to the masses.
A committee has been constituted to review the idea of handing over the electricity companies to the provinces which will forward its proposals to the Prime Minister. During the meeting, Shehbaz Sharif also sought a report on all organizations involved in privatization process. The Premier noted that the process has already been delayed and there is no more room for slow progress. He said public is paying a huge price for Government corporations and organizations running in loss and everything should be done to get rid of this burden.
