Women’s contribution vital for Pakistan’s progress, says COASSep 27, 2023Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir on Wednesday said that women’s role in Pakistan’s progress and development is quintessential and most important.
During the Apex Committee meeting, COAS was briefed about overall security situation including initiatives against smuggling, hoarding and drug trafficking. The Army Chief also visited Peshawar and had an interactive session with the respectable women of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during ‘KPK Women Symposium – 2023’.
He highlighted that women’s role in Pakistan’s progress and development is quintessential and most important.

Christian Delegation Meets COAS Gen Asim Munir Calls For Promoting Inter-Faith HarmonyArmy Chief General Syed Asim Munir has stressed upon the need for promoting greater interfaith harmony in society in order to follow Quaid's true vision of a united and progressive Pakistan. The army chief was talking to president Bishops Dr. Azad Marshall along with 13 members delegation of Christian community who called on him at general headquarters in Rawalpindi. During the meeting general Syed Asim Munir expressed deep respect for Christian community. He lauded the contributions of Pakistani Christian community in national development, including promotion of quality education, healthcare and philanthropic services and outstanding role played by them for the defence of the motherland. The Army Chief said Islam is a religion of peace and there is no space for intolerance and extremism in Islam and society. General Syed Asim Munir said no one can be allowed to take law in his own hands in a civilized society. Matters of mutual interest, religious and inter-faith harmony discussed in the meeting.
