Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has inaugurated Aapni Chhat , Aapna Ghar scheme on Wednesday, reported 24 NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the cheques distribution ceremony, Maryam Nawaz said that 5 lakh houses will be built in the next 5 years. She claimed that Punjab government has made the Aapna Chhat, Aapna Ghar scheme very easy and loan will be given only on land documents and identity card. Former PM Nawaz Sharif, Punjab senior Minister Mariyum Aurangzeb, Senator Pervez Shahid and others participated in the event.
CM Maryam thanked Nawaz Sharif for participating in the event. Maryam Nawaz said that Aapni Chhat, Aapna Ghar project was the dream of Nawaz Sharif. Chief Minister said Punjab government is going to give the first installment of the loan in a short period of one and a half months. She claimed on merit, balloting will be drawn every month as more than 5 lakh applications have been received so far under the scheme.
Maryam Nawaz said the monthly instalment was reduced from 15 thousand to 14 thousand rupees. CM Maryam Nawaz said the most important thing is that there will not be even a rupee of interest on the loan. “If you have taken a loan of 15 lakhs, then only 15 lakhs will have to be returned in easy instalments”, Maryam Nawaz asserted. She said only a copy of identity card is being taken from applicants.
