Master Changan Motors Limited introduced Changan’s electric-first brand, DEEPAL, on Friday at Dolmen Mall Clifton in Karachi.At the launch, Master Changan Motors Limited showcased the Deepal L07 sedan and Deepal S07 SUV. The company also revealed plans to invest $50 million in the entire electric vehicle value chain, including the development of a charging infrastructure across Pakistan.
He outlined four key challenges to accelerating mass EV adoption: introducing the right EV products at competitive prices, ensuring efficient batteries for longer driving ranges, establishing a nationwide after-sales support network, and setting up charging infrastructure in 17 cities.Malik also emphasized that Master Changan is addressing the first challenge by launching Deepal at prices comparable to older gasoline and hybrid models.
