Founding leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Akbar S. Babar who has now turned against Thursday while talking about the PTI foreign funding case said that
the party chief Imran Khan might be removed from the chairmanship and also be disqualified for life, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
While talking about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s foreign funding case in the 24NewsHD TV channel show ‘Dastak’, Akbar S. Babar said that President Arif Alvi might also be removed from his position coming under fire of this case. He said that Islamabad High Court has validated the Election Commission of Pakistan’s decision and now Imran Khan might be removed from the Party chairmanship and disqualified for life. Also, Arif Alvi might also be brought in for accountability.
Babar said that PTI has tried everything possible to escape from this case but could not be relieved from any side. The case lasted for eight years following at least 200 hearings and filing of at least 12 writ petitions in the courts but Imran Khan faced defeat at the end. Imran Khan is always quoting examples of the western democracy and now morally, he should resign from the party presidency.
Senior Analyst Amir Zia, in the show said that Sheikh Rashid made a very serious accusation against former President Asif Ali Zardari and he should provide proofs of that allegation. If these are fake accusations then legal action should be taken against him. Zia condemned baseless accusations in politics and said that decisions are always made on the table in a democracy and this blame game causes nothing but damage.
