Six men, including the Eastlake City Council president, have been charged with solicitation involving a human trafficking sting, the office of the Ohio attorney general said last week.

LAKE COUNTY, Ohio – Six men, including the Eastlake City Council president, have been charged with solicitation involving a human trafficking sting, the office of the Ohio attorney general said Tuesday.

The five other men arrested and charged were Ronald Bevier, 30, of Columbia Station; Alvin Bridges, 47, of Euclid; Andrew Champa, 40, of Wickliffe, Garrett Kellogg, 20, of Strongsville; and Salvatore Longo, 44, of Beachwood.“The point of our task forces is to send a message to those who buy and sell human beings: We’re coming for you, we’re going to bust you and make sure everybody knows what you did,” Attorney General Dave Yost said in a statement announcing the charges.
