$5M for children’s playground for Community Complex at Fair Park
The all-ability, all-ages structure will include interactive water features, sensory gardens and slides carved into the topography.
“This generous gift from the Rees-Jones Foundation fully funds the children’s playground, and we look forward to increased philanthropic support in the coming year to make the entire community park a reality,” said Luallen, who mentioned a possible November groundbreaking. The Community Park Complex will also include a new trail increasing foot traffic in the area, gardens influenced by North Texas’ natural beauty and new parking structures to make getting in and out of Fair Park easier.
