The U.S. Postal Service is searching for nearly 2,000 new employees at job fairs held at 252 Post Office locations throughout Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Washington on Thursday, Apr. 13.

In Washington, 53 Post Office locations are participating in the hiring event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. including locations in Seattle, Spokane and Tacoma. Each location is listed at the bottom of this story.

“There is an urgent need for mail carriers, clerks and mail handlers. We offer great benefits, good pay, security, and the ability to expand your own horizons with multiple career paths and advancement opportunities,” said Washington district manager Pam Cook.Human resources employees will be available to help attendees answer questions about benefits, qualifications and application questions.

“Applicants must be 18 years old — in some instances, interested candidates can also be 16 with a high school diploma/GED— available to work weekends and holidays, and be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background investigation,” the USPS said in the news release.The 53 locations that are participating in the job fair are below:, 12224 NE Bel Red Rd., Bellevue, WA 98005909 Dale Ave., Benton City, WA 99320602 Pacific Ave., Bremerton, WA 9833745650 Main St.
