A 50-year-old father died in the latest fire incident that hit Iloilo City this holiday season.
The Bureau of Fire Protection -Iloilo City identified the victim as Arvin Angkay of Barangay Quezon.
Fire Officer 3 John Anthony Triveles said that Angkay was found lifeless outside a room of his house after the early morning fire on Friday, Dec. 30.He went back inside the house and tried to put out the fire on his own. But the fire grew and he was not able to get out.Triveles said the victim’s wife initially heard explosion and there were flames when they checked. Cause of fire has not been established.
