Five people, including two minors, were arrested after they allegedly stole gadgets and other items in a house in Barangay Bahay Toro, Quezon City on Thursday, Jan. 5.
The Quezon City Police District Project 6 Station identified the suspects as Patrick Busa Toledo, 22 ; Renz Jon Terrado Santos, 29; Chezka Alyssa Barasi Roco, 20, all of Quezon City; and the two male minors.
Reports showed that the victim, Sarah Michaela Tejeda, reported to the PS 15 at about 5:45 a.m. on Thursday that some personal belongings were stolen from their house on Dexter St. in Barangay Bahay Toro. Police said that at around 1 p.m. on the same day, the PS 15 also received a report from security officers of Grass Condominium in Barangay Santo Cristo, QC, about two male minors on board a motorcycle suspiciously hovering near the condominium.
The cops responded to the area and approached the two minors who later yielded the victim’s passport.They also revealed that their cohort, Toledo, sold the stolen items to Santos and Roco, who are residents of the condominium.Authorities recovered from the suspects the victim’s black zip bag containing seven passports, a silver HP laptop worth $3,000, a black laptop bag, an iPhone10 worth $1,500, and iPhone 12 worth $2,000, and a black Yamaha Mio motorcycle.
The suspects will be charged with theft before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office while the two minors will be turned over to the Quezon City Social Services Development Department, the QCPD said.
