A new tease suggests Namor will be on the next Avengers team. Here's five reasons the Sub-Mariner would consider joining them in The Kang Dynasty.
Five different reasons could explain why Namor would join Earth's Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. A recent tease has created the impression that a stint with the Avengers is what Marvel has planned for Namor's future after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The Kang Dynasty writer Jeff Loveness mentioned Namor as the character he's most excited to write.
From his perspective, being an Avenger could be a means to an end. If Namor wants to ensure that Shuri sees him as her biggest ally, following her into the Avengers' ranks would be a logical move for his character. Since he expects Shuri's association with the rest of human society to end badly, he may believe that being by her side is his best path toward having Wakanda's help when the time comes for his conquest of the surface to begin.
By joining the Avengers and representing Talokan, Namor could improve his kingdom's standing in the MCU. The problem, though, is that this sort of outcome would depend on multiple events occurring between Wakanda Forever and The Kang Dynasty. For now, at least, there's no obvious place for Namor to return before the next Avengers film. 3 Kang Destroys Talokan Revenge could be what ultimately motivates Namor to join the Avengers in fighting Kang.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's ending may have laid the groundwork for a similar event to transpire in the MCU. Namor tried to make Namora understand that losing to Shuri wasn't a true loss for Talokan, but whether or not his people will accept this reasoning hasn't been revealed. It could be that his defeat will sow unrest and pave the way for characters like Attuma to usurp the throne.
