The shooting happened at around 9:40 p.m. Saturday.
One of the fleeing suspects fired shots toward officers, which led to an officer returning fire. No one was hit by gunfire over the course of the incident.According to the Pflugerville Police Department, officers located a stolen vehicle with five occupants at around 4:40 a.m. Sunday. When officers attempted to make a traffic stop, the vehicle sped off, initiating a chase.
The pursuit ended in the Hidden Lakes Subdivision. Three of the suspects in the vehicle fled on foot, while the remaining two stayed and were immediately arrested. During the chase on foot, one of the suspects fired multiple shots toward police, with one officer returning fire. No one was shot during the entire course of the incident.The Pflugerville Police Department was assisted by the Round Rock Police Department and the Travis County Sheriff's Office.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the incident, due to an officer firing his weapon. Pflugerville police did not reveal the names of the suspects.KVUE would like to send you push notifications about the latest news and weather.
