NEARLY half of Filipinos surveyed by the Social Weather Stations believe that the Philippine economy will improve in the next 12 months.The survey conducted from April 19 to 27 showed that 46 percent of those polled believe that the economy will improve, while 6 percent believe that it will worsen.
This resulted in a net economic optimism of +40, classified by SWS as excellent.Compared to the previous quarter in December 2021, net economic optimism slightly decreased by 4 percent.SWS conducted face-to-face interviews with 1,440 adult respondents nationwide for the survey.The results have a ±2.6 percent sampling error margin.
