A gunman took the lives of three teen girls in Galena Park and also sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl, authorities say.
The gunman also sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl, whom he then set free from the home in the 2000 block of 2nd Street, Gonzalez said.
The suspected killer, 38, had been in a relationship with the woman who owned the home for at least two years, but was not the father of any of the children in the home, according to Gonzalez. The homeowner, who was the mother of the victims, was not home at the time, he said. Around 10:30 p.m., the man shot the pregnant 19-year-old amid"a disturbance" and then shot two girls, ages 14 and 13, inside the home.
The homeowner's 12-year-old daughter also witnessed the shootings and was then sexually assaulted by the gunman, who let her escape. She grabbed her 1-year-old niece, the child of the 19-year-old, and fled outside without any clothes on, Gonzalez said. The girl took her niece to a neighbor's home, where Galena Park police were called. They arrived to find the"lifeless bodies of four individuals" inside the home.The killing of three teen girls follows the"We want to extend our condolences to the city of Galena Park," Gonzalez said."They've been through some very tragic situations here recently."This is a developing story.
