The Longhorns had 10 steals to the Cowboys’ five, and was able to net 11 points off of those turnovers.In Saturday’s low-scoring affair, free throws were everything. The Longhorns took full advantage of the free throw line, making 17 out of 21 free throw attempts.
Those free throws were especially helpful on a day when Texas was 31% from the field and 28% from the three-point line. Marcus Carr led Texas’ scoring with 12 points, with Timmy Allen following close behind with 11 points., Texas is still a serious contender for the Big 12 title. In Saturday’s win in Stillwater, the Longhorns proved that they can handle some serious pressure. Even though Texas led for most of the game, Oklahoma State was never far behind.
