, including both new releases and any other movies currently playing. In Greater Columbus, participating theaters include chains such as AMC and Cinemark, as well as independents such as Gateway Film Center and Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse. Cinema owners hope to excite moviegoers and fill theaters on what traditionally has been a slow Labor Day weekend. Before each showing, ticket buyers will get to see previews of upcoming films from 12 studios. If Saturday proves a success, organizers say National Cinema Day could become an annual event.
