The 28-acre first phase of The Mix will break ground in Dec. 22 on the northern end of the site and is expected to be completed in 2026. The project will include a mix of rental and for-sale housing, including townhomes, high-rises and apartments. Campbell said he wants the community to be a destination, with a retail corridor that will run along the park and offices. Plans include a 400- to 450-room business hotel and a 200-room boutique hotel.
