21-year-old man arrested in fatal City Heights shooting [Breaking]
A 21-year-old man was jailed Saturday morning on suspicion of shooting and killing a man in City Heights, San Diego police said.Arriving officers found the 22-year-old victim in a driveway, suffering from at least one gunshot wound, homicide Lt. Judd Campbell said. The injured man was taken to a hospital where he died.His identity is known, but his name won’t be released until his family has been notified.
Officers detained Alan Bahena at the scene and later arrested him in connection with the murder, Campbell said. Investigators suspect Bahena, the victim and several other people were gathered in the driveway when Bahena pulled out a gun and opened fire. It’s unclear what led to the shooting, Campbell said.Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call the police department’s homicide unit at 531-2293 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 580-8477.
