The University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) pushed through, but shortened, its annual commencement ceremony on Sunday, July 30, due to inclement weather conditions.
The 112th General Commencement Exercises of UPD pushed through at 7 a.m., at the University's Amphitheater.
Prior to the event, the UPD Office of the Chancellor advised all the participants to bring umbrellas or rain gear in anticipation of inclement weather conditions due to "Falcon-"enhanced southwest monsoon or "habagat." The 2023 General Commencement Exercises of UPD pushed through at 7 a.m., at the University's Amphitheater.
UPD said that it also symbolizes how the over 4,000 UPD students graduating this year will continue to turn toward UP's principles of honor, excellence, courage, and compassion in service to the nation.
