The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office announced a 20-year-old man from the city was responsible for the Feb. 23 murder of Leonardo Fernandez in its Chambersburg neighborhood.

At about 5 p.m. on Feb. 23, Trenton police officers responded to the 500 block of Whittaker Avenue, near Agabati Park, for a report of a male who’d been stabbed. They found Fernandez with numerous wounds to his torso. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
