Two members of a notorious robbery hold-up group were arrested by members of the Makati City Police following a robbery incident along Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City on Wednesday, Jan. 4.
The police identified the suspects as Michael Lutas, 25; and Willy Olivarez, 24. The two are reportedly members of the Rowel Turtosa Robbery Holdup Group.
Based on a police report, a robbery hold-up incident was reported along Chino Roces Avenue where a woman was victimized by two male suspects onboard a black Yamaha Mio motorcycle. The victim said that she was threatened with an unknown caliber firearm by one of the suspects. A police patrol conducting anti-criminality rounds along Mojica St. in Barangay. Bangkal spotted the riding in tandem without safety helmets and with similar descriptions of the robbery suspects. They flagged down the riders and when asked to present documents of ownership of the motorcycle, the two fled and a chase ensued.
The suspects were eventually caught along Capinpin corner La Guardia Street where the police recovered a 9mm Armscor pistol with tampered serial number loaded with seven live ammunitions and two cellphones. Lutas and Olivares are presently detained at the Makati City Police Station and appropriate charges are being prepared against them.
