Two students in the Puyallup School District were expelled for the rest of the school year for bringing guns to campus.
“You don’t think it’s going to happen at your kid’s school until it does,” said the parent of a Glacier View student, who wished to be identified as Elyse.
“The kid did apparently show other kids the gun at school,” said Elyse. “ talked to one of those kids, and they said that they were one of the ones that reported it. understands how serious it is and how important it is to report a gun at school.” In its email to parents, the PSD said, “the student in custody did not make a threat to the school or person at any time.”
In both cases, the district said it immediately expelled the two students for the remainder of the school year.
