Two people were severely injured in an accident involving a motorcycle and a pick-up truck on I-69 just north of 96th Street this afternoon.
Indiana State Troopers, along with other first responders, were called to the scene of a serious crash in the southbound lanes of I-69 just north of 96th Street at 3:54 p.m.
According to ISP, 911 callers were reporting that a motorcycle had hit the back of a truck and the occupants were lying in the road.Life-saving emergency medical aid was given, and the victims were transported to a local hospital. Police say a white pick-up truck had slowed to a stop due to stopping traffic when a motorcycle crashed into the back of the vehicle, ejecting both occupants off the motorcycle onto the road.The crash caused several lanes of I-69 to be closed for three hours. All lanes have now re-opened.
