BACOLOD CITY – Two senior high school students were arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation in Purok Esmeralda, Barangay Poblacion, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, September 13.

The two boys aged 19 are residents of Barangay Singcang-Airport here and Barangay Poblacion, Bago City, according to the police.

Police seized from them 15 grams of suspected marijuana worth P7,500, an improvised wooden pipe, P555, and the P300 marked money. Police Lt. Col. Jay Malong, Bago police chief, said the two students were subjected to monitoring for a few weeks after they received information about their alleged illegal drug activities.He said that they are serious in the war against illegal drugs regardless if the subject are students.

Malong said they are probing the link of the two students to determine their source and other contacts.related stories
