Operatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Quezon City District Anti-Cybercrime Team (QCDACT) have arrested a man and a woman for posing as non-uniformed police personnel (NUP). | ManilaBulletin READ:
Police identified the suspects as Editha De Jesus Candelaria, 48, a resident of San Fernando, Pampanga; and Allan Roque Castillano Jr., 47, of Gapan, Nueva Ecija.
Report showed that a police officer sought assistance from the Quezon City Police District Novaliches Station on April 23, after he received a message from one Arnold Santos, who introduced himself as a NUP allegedly assigned to the National Capital Region Police Office - Office of the Regional Director, who asked for financial assistance for their team-building.
The QCDACT and the PS 4 launched the entrapment operation and sent money to the suspects through a GCash remittance.
