Two Chinese nationals were arrested in Pasay City on Friday for pretending to be doctors.
arrest stemmed from a complaint by 26-year-old Chinese national Zheng Haohan who sought a consultation from Yang due to stomach ache and diarrhea. Yang wrongly prescribed the victim a Chinese medicine and told him to return for a surgical operation of his genitals.
Following the complaint, agents conducted an operation, which led to the arrest of the two who failed to present their licenses to practice as medical practitioners. The suspects are now under police custody while charges for violation of Section 12, Article II of Republic Act No. 2382 and Republic Act No. 9711 are being prepared against them.
