Both drivers died in a head-on collision Wednesday afternoon on the Parks Highway in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, Alaska State Troopers said.

Investigators were called to Mile 59 in Houston around 5:35 p.m.

and found that a 2005 Honda Pilot and 2001 Chevrolet pickup had collided, troopersBoth drivers were wearing seatbelts, troopers said.Troopers did not immediately say what caused the collision. The investigation is ongoing, they said.
