Police say the man, a student at New York University, was injured when he dove off a dock in Passaic County.

The man, who is a student at New York University, was visiting friends in West Milford when the incident occurred, said Lt. Eric Darnsteadt, a spokesman for the West Milford Township Police Department. “He dove off the dock, into what probably is shallow water, striking his head and potential cervical neck injury,” Darnsteadt said.
