Tamaj Bennett, 19, of Atlantic City, died of his injuries at a local hospital.
Detectives are investigating a shooting on the Jersey Shore that took the life of a 19-year-old man early Sunday morning, Atlantic County Prosecutor William Reynolds said.
Police responded to the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City about 3:30 a.m., officials said. Officers located Tamaj Bennett, a city resident, who had been shot, authorities said. Bennett later died of his injuries at a nearby hospital. An autopsy by the Atlantic County Medical Examiner’s Office is pending.
