A Los Angeles man suspected of fatally shooting a 15-year-old boy in connection with a cell phone transaction Friday was arrested after turning himself in to authorities, Long Beach police said.
Police said Simmons arranged to meet with the suspect to buy a cell phone advertised on an online marketplace app. An altercation during the exchange led to the shooting, police said in a news release.
