15-year-old boy found shot to death in Lemon Grove [Breaking]
A 15-year-old boy was found shot to death early Saturday on a sidewalk in Lemon Grove, the Sheriff’s Department said.
Deputies were called to the southwest corner of Palm and Mulder streets just before 2 a.m. after receiving a report about a victim with a gunshot wound to the torso, sheriff’s homicide Lt. Chris Steffen said in a news release. Deputies found the victim dead on the sidewalk, which is in a residential area. The boy’s name has not been released.
According to investigators, a male was seen running from the location before deputies arrived. Sheriff’s officials did not provide a description of the person.Anyone with information about the death was asked to call the Homicide Unit at 285-6330 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 580-8477.
