UPDATE: Students killed and injured in the school shooting in Uvalde were in 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades, according to local police. Abbott says the shooter had a handgun and possibly a rifle.
It was not immediately clear how many people, in addition to the dead, were injured in the shooting.
