At least one person died Thursday morning following a 118-mile high-speed police chase throughout West Virginia, authorities said.
The incident began when an officer noticed a suspicious person wearing a wig, mask, and hat inside a parked vehicle, New Martinsville Police Chief Tim Cecil said.A background check was performed, and authorities discovered the driver, identified by police as Devin Stevenson, had four arrest warrants attached to his name, according to a report.A multi-city police chase ended on US 250 in Moundsville and led to a man losing his life.
No other injuries were reported, and at least six different police agencies were involved in the chase.
