An 11-year-old girl was shot in the buttocks by a gun accidentally discharged in a neighboring apartment.An 11-year-old girl was hospitalized Wednesday night after being accidentally shot by a gun left unattended in an apartment complex courtyard, Houston Police Department officials said.
When officers arrived around 9 p.m. at the apartment at 3000 Buck St. they found the girl with a gunshot wound to the buttocks and she was taken to a hospital, Lt. The man who discharged the gun was detained when police arrived and the case will be reviewed by the Harris County District Attorney’s office to determine if charges will be filed, Crowson said.
